We've had several cases of Vista (and sometimes XP) altering the name of the license file to tradigiTOOLS.lic.txt (or similar).  TradigiTOOLS will not be activated and Maya will give a licensing error.  If this happens you must remove the .txt extension from the end of the file name in order to properly activate tradigiTOOLS in Maya for Windows.

Here are the basic steps in Vista.

  • open your tradigiTOOLS folder (install directory)
  • select TOOLS/Folder Options (from the Windows Explorer's Menu list)
  • select View Options
  • uncheck "Hide extensions for known types" and click OK
  • Rename the tradigiTOOLS.lic.txt file name and ONLY remove the .txt extension so that the file name reads tradigiTOOLS.lic

Do NOT alter the license file in any other way.

Restart Maya and try to activate tradigiTOOLS via the Plug-in Manager again.  If that fails please post here or email us directly at info@funhouseinteractive.biz.

Thanks
