An update for tradigiTOOLS version 1 is now available.  The new version will be updated to version 1.20 (from 1.11) and is a FREE update for those who purchased version 1.  New customers will be able to purchase the 1.20 release effective immediately.

Here is the list of changes, updates and/or fixes in the current release.

v1.20

  • Added support for Blend nodes
  • Added support for Character Sets
  • Parenting to the Camera is now supported for the shotmask
  • WINDOWS ONLY: 64-bit support for Maya64 on XP64 & Vista64
  • MAC ONLY: Maya 8.5 and Maya 2008 plug-ins are now Universal Binaries (UB)

Known Issues

On Windows, some users have had some issues with license keys being recognized. This is due to Windows misnaming files and appending the names with a ".txt". Please make sure that your license file is named "tradigiTOOLS.lic" without a .txt ending, and that you place the file in the FUNhouse\tradigiTOOLS directory.

Please read the discussion in the FAQ boards for further information by following this link....

NOTE to 64Bit users.

tradigiTOOLS installers for 64bit version install the plug-in to the "Program Files (x86)" folders instead of the "Program Files" folder.  The 64 bit and 32 bit versions share the same location on 64 bit systems in order to share the license file activation and to keep things "neat and tidy".

Hey Dimos!

Great timing for the update!  I've been stopping by a lot lately, specially waiting for this update!  I bought a new computer that runs with a 64bits OS and wanted to start animating with Tradigitools with the 64bit Maya.

Look forward for more great updates and tutorials! Smiley

Have a good day Dimos!

We have discussed this.  We are looking into our options and the Linux port as I write this.  Can't really say much more other then this MAY take some time.  It also depends how much interest there is in a LINUX version.  We'll see.

Cheers!

Ok, I'm a complete tool this morning but for the life of me I can't figure out how to download the 1.20 upload.  Where do I find the user update download?

Thanks,
Jules

This has happened once before.   We are not sure what causes this issue but it most likely gets corrupted during delivery and the cached file(s) always takes precedence so in essence you never download the clean version.  Try clearing your cache from both Safari and Firefox,erase/delete ANY 1.2 mac installer file that you have previously downloaded from us, close/quit the browser restart and try again.  If that doesn't work we'll need to get support involved.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

P.S.  OH!!!  And try saving to a new location on your hardrive too.

Zisman, I'd also try downloading it from a different machine.

Heya Big D-

Thanks for the quick response. So I cleared the cache in safari, deleted the previous downloads and it appeared to download and unzip fine this time. BUT ran the installer and at the end of the installer the installation software gives an error message saying the file is damaged.

So one issue quashed but still no luck...is there another location to download from?

Katt-

DLing from a different computer is actually not so easy for me. I've got one desktop in my apt. and don't have any friends w/computers in the area...(no car either, not that I need one...) I'm a bit of an island these days...
