Hello, i'm thinking about buying tradigiTool, it seems like a very good plugin.
2 questions though, u seem too update quite frequently, will it be possible to get free uppgrades if so for how long?

i use different versions of maya depending on what version the studio is using, right now its maya 2008 and 8.5. will i be able use it on both versions or do i have to buy 2 licenses?

Hello Bluder and thank you for your interest in tradigiTOOLS.

So far our updates have been all free for version 1 licensees.  If you purchased version 1.01 (our first release) then all updates since then up to 1.2 have all been free to licensed users.  We don't plan on charging another license fee or upgrade fee until we do some considerable changes and that may be a version 1.5 or a version 2.0 release.

If you purchase a license you should be able to run tradigiTOOLS and ANY version of Maya you are licensed to use.  We include all version plug-ins from 7 through 2008.  However, to stay current and keep our costs down we MAY be dropping support for older versions of Maya such as 7 and 8 and concentrate on future versions from 8.5 and higher.  We are still reseacrching all of our options.  In the meantime, you are free to use it on ANY licensed version you can.  That is part of our license so please enjoy it on any Maya version you need to, however you will only be licensed to use it on ONE machine at a time.  If you need multiple machine licenses please feel free to purchase our pre-packaged STUDIO site licenses or contact us via email to see how we can help you out.

AND for the record.  If you plan on switching between Windows and MacOSX please consider our STUDIO single seat license as you technically will be purchasing a license for each OS.  If you need further clarification please feel free to email us at info@funhouseinteractive.biz.

Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.

All the best!

And just to add to what Dimos said, the installer puts all the plugins for every version of Maya from 7 - 2008 into the same folder.  So you don't have to do multiple installations -- just make sure the plugin is autoloading in whatever version(s) of Maya you use.

The 64-bit version on Windows does require a second installation, but if you buy a Windows license you can use the same license key.
