Surface shader instead of lambert material for Text in the shotmask

Hey guys,
I noticed that when I am not using the default light in viewport, and use my own lights instead (when you press 7) I can't control the color of the text in the shotmask. It becomes black. I can see the right color only when I change to default light by pressing 6 on the keyboard. I think if the material would be the surface shader it would fix that problem.
