I'd love that feature too, but unfortunately you only get two colors in Maya -- "regular" and "special." There's no way to directly set the color of a tick outside of marking them as regular or special; or rather, I can't say "Make this one key blue."
If I could, this feature would have been in TDT a long time ago.
