Hi, i dealt with some weird situation using Tradigi tools with a rig that has constraint his arms in 2 locators.

Stewie(AM rig) is picking up a box with both hands.
also i have 2 locators parent constrainted to a simple Box.
Box is the master object.
Both hands of Stewie are parent constrainted to the locators.

my main problem is that TIMING BUTTONS in tradigitools won't work on the attributes that are connected with the Parent Constraint. so i cannot adjust timing with tradigi tools, which i really like them.It moves keys in timeline for everything else, except Stewie's hands.
Box= has keyframes (it is driving arms animation while he is holding the box)
Locators=No keyframes
L_R_Ik_hands= have keyframes (+the Blendweight attribute)
Usual workflow is that in each pose i Key everything even if it doesn't move.

i've attached a screenshot from scene

Is this something that Tradigitools doesn't support? or is a setting that i have to set in Maya.
Any support/help would be great
Thanks for time

Hey Aris,

Off the top of my head...

TradigiTOOLS isn't designed to affect "connected" attributes. It's meant to affect the attributes of selected objects only.  If something in your constraint set-up (or constraint rig) isn't selected or keyed, then I don't think it will work in the way you expect it to.  You could try and alter the timing of those attributes/constraints separately to help.

PLUS, when attributes are connected to a constraint, the "master" object takes control and should be affecting the attributes, thus negating the need to use (or in this case, time) the attributes in question.  They are going to be driven by other parts of the rig/set-up you have.   Constraints can get tricky.

You also may want to rethink your constraint rig/set-up but that's a topic/lesson for another time.  The problem is that there are a lot of ways to constrain, which makes it difficult to find a solution to control these things with tradigiTOOLS.  We were careful not to force anyone in one direction in order to allow for users to find their own solutions.  Until we find a way that works for most purposes, I'm sure we'll find a way to implement it.

Until then, I think your going to have to adjust those parts separately and carefully.

Cheers!

it makes sense Dimos. I agree to that about tradigi is tool that works with selected objects. But in this case i was manually selecting the connected attributes, but didn't affect it.
Anyway ,it is just that i can't use the full capabilities of Tradigitools which i'll really really Love them and don't work without them!

Thanks a lot for valuable infos Dimo. I hope next version can have the option to move "connected attributes" as well.

Cheers
