Hi folks,

UPDATE 25 June 2009: TradigiTOOLS 1.21a for Windows is released.  This should get rid of the dependency on the Visual Studio 2008 installer, which seemed to cause too many problems for most users.  Mac users, don't panic! You're shielded from Microsoftian shenanigans; there is no 1.21a update for Mac.

Links:

tradigiTOOLS 1.21a for Windows:

tradigiTOOLS 1.21 for Mac OS X:

------------

1.21 is officially out.  The only new thing in this update is support for Maya 2009.  There are no other new features!  If you're already using 1.20 happily and have not yet upgraded to 2009, then there's no reason to download this new version.

TradigiTOOLS works with the following versions of Maya:

Maya 2009 SP1a (Win32, Win64, Mac OS X Intel)
Maya 2008 SP1 (Win32, Win64, Mac OS X Intel / PPC)
Maya 8.5 SP1a (Win32, Win64, Mac OS X Intel / PPC)
Maya 8.0 (Win32, Mac OS X PPC)
Maya 7.01 (Win32, Mac OS X PPC)

If you do not have one of the above specified versions of Maya the plugin may fail to load.  Only the above versions are supported.  To download updates, please visit the Autodesk website:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&linkID=9242259

As of v1.21, tradigiTOOLS on Windows may require that you install the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 redistributable package.  This only needs to be downloaded and installed once, and it's very likely that another program on your system may have already installed it for you.  In the event it is not installed, please download and install it from Microsoft:

Package for x86 (32-bit Windows XP and Windows Vista):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a5c84275-3b97-4ab7-a40d-3802b2af5fc2&displaylang=en

Package for x64 (64-bit Windows XP and Windows Vista):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=BA9257CA-337F-4B40-8C14-157CFDFFEE4E&displaylang=en

If you plan on running both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of tradigiTOOLS on the same system, you may have to install both the x86 and x64 versions of the above package.

Thanks, and happy animating!

Just upgraded to Maya 2009 and downloaded TradigiTools 1.2.1
The install seemed fine but checking the correct verion in the Plug-in Manager gives me this error:

// Error: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I've tried restarting my machine, uninstalling DigiTools and reinstalling.

Any suggestions?

Please ensure you are running the supported version of Maya 2009 (currently we support SP1a).  See the list of requirements in the first post.  If all is well there then let us know here or email us at info@funhouseinteractive.biz.

Cheers!

Yes, I am running the supported version of Maya 2009 with SP1a on Windows XP SP2, and I get the message:

// Error: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

That fixed it!

I was under the impression the the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 distributable" was something that would have been installed automatically if needed.

Thank you for hanging in there with us less-technical types!

This is something we are looking into and will probably fix this in a new update sometime in the near future.

Thanks for your patience.

1.21a seems to have installed fine for me and is working.

The only weird thing is when I click the little "i" button in the plug-ins manager, the Plug-in Information box says:

Plug-in version: 1.20 (is that right? I'm certain I uninstalled 1.20 before installing the 1.21a update)

I am using Maya 2009 SP1a x64 Unlimited.

I have both Maya 2008 and 2009. I just downloaded the new Tools 1.21 and it worked fine for Maya 2009 but when I try and use in 2008 I'm getting an error about it being compelled against a newer version of Maya API. Can you please help?

You need to have the supported version of Maya 2008.

Maya 2008 SP1

You can download the proper versions from Autodesk's website.

Will you be releasing a version of tradigiTOOLS for Maya 2011 anytime soon? I would like to use it with the new version of Maya very soon...

Thanks
Phil
